If you had a control over ARTPOP what would you have done?

-Make it a visual album

-Add “Nothing on But the Radio”, “Temple”, and “Brooklyn Nights”

-Not add a countdown for the app and have it be ready after ARTPOP was released. The BTS of making of the album would be included. The ARTPOP remix album would be released through the app (that features an Aura Skrillex remix and a MANiCURE DJWS remix which uses all the stems that leaked) and later down the line ACT II. 

-I would keep things secret (AKA no sharing lyrics, and other future plans that were scrapped for one reason or another).

-R. Kelly would have never been in the picture. The solo version would have been released for the album, and the Xtina remix for The Voice. 

-Aura would have the demo vocals and some of the Infected Mushroom production/beat drops that weren’t used. 

-Fashion! ft. RuPaul

-The teaser for the album would be snippets of all the music videos. 

-ACT II would have had a rave sound/harder EDM beats, besides TEA, Tinnitus, and the other songs that we know about/heard. More electro-ballads, too. I would add a pop girls collaboration, maybe Kylie? The album would kind of have a pre-hyperpop sound. 

-The finished version of “The Greatest Thing” would be released in this universe, too; with a music video.

-Do What U Want (there’s two music videos, one featuring Christina Aguilera)

-Sexxx Dreams (ft. Britney Spears) [her way of teasing the song was that one comment Jo Calderone made about masturbating to a Britney Spears poster]

My ideal ARTPOP Era

Let me start this off by saying I love ARTPOP but if I wanted to insure its success this would be what I would've done:

I think the era itself should have been more revolved around Greek mythology theming

A consistent running theme would have helped IMO in the success of the album

The public was so confused at the time so something consistent would have helped

I think any song that didn't have a mention of anything in mythological history should have been put on Act II and anything that did on ACT I and maybe a deluxe edition

Act II being more side B tracks while Act I being the ones that ran with the theme

However even though that is ideal to me it's hard to come up with an image of that not knowing what any of the unreleased tracks sounded like or what a lot of them were so that idea is out the window since I Cant picture an era without all those details

So going with the fact we only really have the Act I tracklist to work with this is the best I can think of based on what we have:

I think the G.U.Y. film was actually great and perfect and should have opened the era

G.U.Y. sent to radio stations

The little bit of Venus and ARTPOP would just tease fans for cravings to hear the whole song

MAN!CURE should have been cut from the end credits though I think teasing 3 songs at once is giving a lot away (I love the song though) instead scrap the credits scene and put that in the description of the video 

Then Venus (Official Audio) and official video (a week after the audio)  a month after G.U.Y

Venus sent to radio stations

The Itunes music festival should have never happened it gave away too many tracks and killed the hype along with disappointment for people expecting those to be the album versions

Drops track list and album cover 3 weeks later

I add features to the following:

ARTPOP Ft. Elton John as a deluxe track 

Do What You Want Ft. The Weeknd

Fashion! With Rupaul as a deluxe track

ARTPOP drops as a whole a month after the cover & tracklist drops

She could release little videos for each track that wasn't a single at this point along with AURA so we could see Ms Beyoncé with lyrics on the screen

When ARTPOP drops she does a big performance doing all the songs with her special guests (Elton for example)

Clown time (even though this is all clowney)

Do What You Want Ft. The Weeknd imo his voice fits perfectly in this track

DWUW sent to radio stations

I would have then closed the era it with a Gypsy & Applause double feature film about 4 weeks after Sexxx Dreams(just for fun send to radio stations even though the amount of bleeps would have been unbearable) and Do What You Want

Act II drops about 1 month later with all the extra tracks in Pauls USB drive along with the movie with it

Then she ditches all her ex producers and moves on with Cheek to Cheek

Sex Dreams with the Swinefest chorus, but the album bridge, as the lead single. Gaga would have brought back her blonde bangs for this’n.

MANiCURE as promotional single.

Applause would be the final single and remain last track on the album, as it was intended to be the “swan song” of the album.

Jewels n Drugs would be stripped back a lot and given a more 2020 Ari flair, feeling more dialed back, leaning more towards R&B.

DWUW is featuring Christina Aguilera now, full stop.

Dope is back to I Wanna Be With You.

Aura is closer to the first demo version that leaked.

Gypsy, but featuring Elton John.

Idk bout the ARTPOP app, I really think it had a neat concept, but I think it needed some extra love and content before it was dropped.

Overall, I would keep things a little more under wraps until there was specific confirmation that these plans that eventually fell thru would flesh out. Then again, for all we know, those plans were approved and fleshed out and were just as much as a disappointment for her as it was for us.

Also Venus MV 10 millions dollar budget video when the hype was here in 2013 with crazy high budget special effect of Gaga living in Venus taking control of the planet slowly like a goddess 
Gypsy as the last single of the album to melt the heart of the GP and keep love around her.

First off

- Make the album a visual album i feel like this is absolutely necessary 

- Scrap the "Do What u Want" feature with R Kelly and would be featuring Xtina from the get-go

- Kept the Original Concept for Burqa (Aura) along with the harder hitting vocals + it would not advertise Machete Kills.

- Jewels N' Drugs would have been similar to what we got however with actual good features, id choose Nicki Minaj simply due to knowing how good her pen game is the track would have been improved MASSIVELY.

- Definitely would have been more secretive on the actual album, the overall concept of it being a visual album and the overall concept of ARTPOP would have been publicized along with the Singles, the tracklist would not be known till the week before the release, ACT II would not be exposed to the public as it would be more underground and well experimental.

- I would have not tweeted as much during this era to keep up an illusion of Mystery + the Early Year release somewhere around August-June to give the album breathing space between it and the end year releases like Prism and Beyoncé 

- the Singles would have been different definitely

- 2nd single is Red Flame feat. Nicki Minaj released after Swinefest (September 2nd)
- 3rd Single is Venus and there's actually an era with a music video. Released in October. No polls for what should be a single on twitter. 
- X Factor/Graham Norton performance of Red Flame/Venus
- The album comes out in November and the app is completely ready to go the day of release with Track Star, bonus songs like Gypsy, Donatella, and Partynauseous. The visual component is exclusive to the app for a month and then the music videos are uploaded to Youtube in December. All the stems are available for remixing on the app.
- AMA performance of Aura and Venus
- 4th single is Brooklyn Nights in December.
- Jingle Bell Ball performance.
- The Voice performance. Brooklyn Nights performed AND Xtina joins her for DWUW. DWUW feat. Xtina released but not a single and it's added to the app.
- 5th single is Sexxx Dreams feat Rihanna in February.
- SXSW performance. She doesn't tease Act 2 in the interview.
- 6th and final single is Applause in April.
- Tour with the featured artists joining her whenever it's possible.
