i think it'll eventually reach a peak of #3 unless good for you falls as BTS will comfortably retain #1 for a few weeks knowing they'll release another song

Ed doesn’t have a solid fanbase to ensure a #1 debut. He’s a gp darling. Idk if this song will go to the top but I wouldn’t count it out yet. For all we know this could be a Blinding Lights situation.

He took a too long vacation and he's a UK singer, it's a bad move if you want to hit back the US charts in the future, he's not Adele, only Adele can take a 20 years break and still get #1 one week after.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Agreed. I see him as the male Katy, in some ways (not a drag, I've been a fan of hers since One Of The Boys). Unless he evolves, he could run out of steam

If you guys are going to say Ed is a flop for debuting at #5 in his fifth album era, then you need to start saying Stupid Love flopped and was not a “moderate” hit for having the same stat. It’s only fair. Also, Bad Habits has only grown on streaming throughout this past week

People here like to claim it was a “moderate hit” simply because it’s peak

It's quite weird to have a thread where people just call a #5 debut flop, it's been Rising in streams since its release and I'm sure it will peak higher, and the fact It's his 10th #1 on the UK charts, I didn't see the haters whining in that thread, and now if it's #5 in the US it's such a big deal.

This thread was made with the objective to hate on Ed and call him a flop.

It's giving me that one negative review the song recieved and how y'all were quick to trash him ignoring the countless other positive reviews energy.

I will not watch House of Gucci

Also Gaga was deemed as over since 2013 while Ed is coming from a smash era :billie:

He's getting old by today's industry standards. The GP likes them young and fvckable.
