Is this the first time monsters haven't been ready to move onto a new era?

I don’t think the Jazz era has started yet, the MTV performance is probably being recorded months ahead of time.

Why

She's not singing jazz at her tours anyways

Don't you think it will most likely be a greatest hits show though? I just really can't see her doing a full on Chromatica concept with mostly Chromatica songs at this point.

It's been almost a year since she did anything in that realm, it's very unlikely that she's still in that aesthetic/sonic/conceptual mindset.

Yeah but will she do anything Chromatica related in that time? I can't see it happening.

Just move on ffs and stop pretending to speak on behalf of the fans.

Can you disagree with anything I said though? Fans were very much ready to move on from C2C by 2016, and there's no denying that the GP was super ready for LG6 after 2018 due to all the articles and 'most anticipated albums of ...' mentions it got in the press.

And other than ASIB, Chromatica massively beats out both commercially and critically all her releases since BTW in terms of numbers.

I don't think there will ever be a time in which it is correct to "move on", except when Gaga or her team chooses to. Refusing to move on from Chromatica is just you feeling the need for more. And it's okay, but let's not blame anyone for that. That's just you.

Chromatica is still very fresh on my mind, I wouldn't mind a "revival". She has such a big opportunity with the Babylon remix, she can release a video for it to get the fans back into the hype for the upcoming tour. She can release an EP as a Chromatica-follow-up just like she what did with TFM. If she comes back performing on festivals, there are many new songs to debut in her set such as Sour Candy, Free Woman, Replay...and ofc Babylon.

You guys say the album is dead but if she does something, I'm sure the hype will come back

Enigma is the greatest hits show and if I'm not wrong it's coming back this year

Doing the same for CB would make no sense

It feels sad to see the lack of engagement by her towards her own project. Especially, as someone above mentioned, fans learning about tour postponement from ticketmaster, not from the artist herself is a low key rude move.

yet, I don’t expect or even wish her to ‘revive’ anything. Let her put her energy where she feels dedication for at the moment. I just hope she really connects with her next project and feels enthusiastic to share the experience with fans and the world.

I love how these threads always attempt to speak "for the fans" :awkney: She's been moved on from the album, it's time y'all do too. How many of these threads do we need crying over spilled and sour milk every week? It doesn't matter how many prayer circles you all make, how many harassing tweets and comments you throw her way, or how many "what if" threads y'all make Chromatica is over. If you haven't accepted it by now, I'm not sure what to tell you. Either embrace the new era or find another artist to enjoy in the meantime because this is the unfortunate reality. It sucks, believe me, but wishing for stuff to happen with this era is like wishing your favorite relative comes back from the dead.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

I think you've misunderstood what I was saying with this thread. I'm talking purely about Gaga's overall fanbase's feelings about her moving onto a new era, and I was curious because the whole time I've been a fan its always been "when is the next album coming".

When did I blame anyone? And when did I say it was wrong of her to move on?

Honestly, I feel that the whole… experience we’re going through has changed the rules and expectations slightly. I know we all feel a little starved of content, but it’s clear that the pandemic (and perhaps Gaga’s team’s ability to adapt to the pandemic) has meant that things just haven’t gone as planned this time - and, for me at least, that’s okay. We’re all having a tough time, and if things just haven’t worked out, they haven’t worked out. I’d also like to think that the difference between Monsters in 2011 and Monsters in 2021 is that we now have an increased awareness of the levels of stress, strain and sheer effort that go into producing an album campaign as rich and eventful as The Fame Monster or Born This Way.

Ultimately, Chromatica has done what she needed to do - we got two top-5 singles, the stunning Paper and Billboard shoots and the slayage of VMAs night, and those are all things to cherish. Yes, in an ideal world (read: a 2010-11 world), “Replay” and “Free Woman” and “Alice” would be lighting up the charts and clubs, but all things considered that just isn’t possible at the moment. Personally, if Gaga wants to move onto Love for Sale and more acting, I’ll follow her every step of the way.

Plus, we’ll get another Chromatica push further down the line with the remix album and hopefully the tour, so in a way this is just like releasing C2C whilst touring the artRAVE and hawking a perfume (a fact which is still slightly bewildering to me, but the fact is she's managed to keep the momentum up for multiple projects in the past). Maybe this should be in the Chromatica Clowns Club thread, but: the journey continues…

Maybe what could have been a better alternative or addition perhaps a live show on a stage and live stream it so fans all over the world could buy a virtual ticket and watch online, as a way to close out the era and everyone have the opportunity to of seen it.
But tbh I’m ready to move on, I’ve kinda accepted there to be nothing else and I’m ready to hear TonyGaga again.

There hasn’t been a music video for Chromatica in 9 months so I’m ready to move on

Umm no, by this point it’s better to just let it fade away. Like, it’s just not salvageable anymore. Who even revives an era after months of nothing (except brand deals)? Like, at this point there’s little to no hype left from the fanbase, all excitement has just naturally fizzled out aside from a few who are still holding on to a little bit of hope. But no, it’s better if she just lets it go completely, she clearly wants to
