This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I actually like the song after a few listens, definitely a grower. However, regardless of that this was always bounds to be a hit, he has a massive campaign and he is selling physical copies too - he's doing everything he can to get this to Number 1 and promoting the hell out of it.

Nothing wrong with that! Ed always promotes his lead singles hard. Being successful didn't just happen, he worked for it no matter what his haters want to say.

It's so frustrating because this kind of pop acts are so overplayed everywhere that you really have no choice but to listen to theirs songs. It's like brain washing, at same point you call it a grower and claim you actually like it. No, you don't. The musical industry is f*cked up, they don't make art, they make marketing potions for our brains. Ed will live with us for the rest of the year and you just have to accept it without questions.  Toxic
