Natural Covid Immunity Offers Very Limited Protection Against Delta Variant

Seems like the virus in the delta variant has mutated enough that natural antibodies against earlier strains are not all that effective. In otherwords if you already caught covid and arent vaccinated and are exposed to Delta you will probably catch it again

Well they will evolve. They always do. Hopefully none of the changes anytime soon will make vaccines ineffective tho 

 

Already the efficacy rate of vaccines has dropped somewhat for delta. It no longer prevents symptomatic infections in as many individuals...

 

While its still highly effective at preventing severe desiese its a bad sign the virus is moving away from umbrella of coverage of vaccine not to mention if ppl still get symptomatic infections in many cases the vaccine wont prevent spread as much as it did with earlier variants

 

Looks like the booster shot updates will probably be needed
