‘Dune’ shifted 3 weeks later

Warner Bros. has shifted the sci-fi epic to three weeks later, putting it at October 22. It was previously set for Oct. 1.

The move was part of a larger release date shuffle by Warner Bros. on Friday.
“The Many Saints of Newark” was pushed back one week, taking the original spot held by “Dune.
”The “Sopranos” prequel will now launch on Oct. 1, a week later than its previous date of Sept. 24.
“Cry Macho” was bumped up one month after “Dune” took its previous spot. “Cry Macho” will now release on Sept. 17.
