Anti-virus software entrepreneur John McAfee has been found dead in a Barcelona prison cell hours after a Spanish court agreed to extradite him to the US to face tax evasion charges.

It said in a statement that "everything indicates" McAfee took his own life.

A controversial figure in the tech world, his company released the first commercial anti-virus software.

In October 2020, McAfee was arrested in Spain when he was about to board a plane to Turkey, and accused of failing to file tax returns for 4 years, despite earning millions from consulting work, crypto-currencies, speaking engagements and selling the rights to his life story.

He 100% killed himself. He was an attention wh*re for ages and saw what happened with Epstein and thought he could get some posthumous publicity after it. 
 

I don’t doubt he actually offed himself. He was narcissistic yes, but with everything that happened with Epstein, it’ll boost his image (bad or good) more than he ever would’ve if he was still alive in prison after the trials.

I'm not even surprised. I don't think anyone expected John f*cking McAfee to die in a normal way.

Was he a good person? No. Did he make the world a better place? No. Was he someone to look up to? No. BUT he lived a batshit crazy life that almost sounds too crazy to be true. I'm sure he had a lot of fun. It reminds me of that Hunter S. Thompson quote "Too weird to live and too rare to die".

I hope they make a The Wolf of Wall Street esque movie about him someday.
