I was like 15 when she had her mental breakdown and it scared the **** out of me. When this free Britney movement started I was apprehensive about it, and I shouldn’t have been. ****ing free this woman and give her god damn life back. We love you Brit! No, Britney did not commit suicide and she did not overdose of her own accord. If anything happens to her, she was 100% murdered. Dadru 2,379 Posted June 24, 2021 Share Posted June 24, 2021 All this is making me go back and listen to her self-titled album (from 2001, not the disastrous 2013 variant) and a lot of songs have such more meaning now. Songs like Overprotected, What It’s Like To Be Me & even Slave 4 U, to me it’s really one of her best albums. People got mad about her sound change and her becoming an adult. Who knew that 20 years later, the album would still be relevant but now with the people that criticized her back in the day standing with her.
