The remake is just an adaptation of the Broadway musical. I loved John Waters' original version, but not gonna lie, the music, the cast, the whole production, it really gave it a whole new life.

Tho I wouldn't give it to Mama Mia either - I honestly can't stand both of these movies nowadays, which is strange since I used to absolutely love musicals, but nowadays the only musical I can stomach and actually enjoy is Chicago and Victor Victoria, with the latter only if I don't watch it past Le Jazz Hot which is the best moment in the film :selena:

Eh true, but I think it just kinda watered down everything imo (pun intended lol). Plus I didn’t like the cast that much to be completely honest :sis:
