That’s sad. But there’s a reason they only claim 90-95% effectiveness in the vaccine

Fully immunized means she's had both doses :awkney:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

well vaccines only work as good as your own immune system.

it is known that vaccines arent as effective for older people because their immune system is slower and isnt creating as much anti-bodies anymore after being exposed to a virus.

You will learn respect!

That's really sad, but we need to think about the millions of lives the vaccines are saving. Unfortunately the vaccine can't protect 100% of the people, but it is still the best form of prevention we have so far.

I am authistic, so don't be offended if I make a mess sometimes.

Considering she was 90 it’s mostly age related.

This. Worldwide life expectancy is 78. Being 90 of course was a factor.

The wait time is different in different countries (depending on doses available and stuff like that). My country is also doing a 4-5 weeks wait for Pfizer, 2.5 months for AstraZeneca.

It's almost 6 weeks in my country. I've heard some places make you wait like 12 weeks, too, so I don't really understand the approach change

You have to wait 4 weeks to get the second dose? That’s odd. When I talked to my doctor about it she said I have to get it 14 days after. Maybe because I’m a high risk person?

Honestly studies have shown a longer gap works better anyway and even a medical official on TV during conference was saying she wasnt surprised cuz u see the booster effectiveness work better with some gap in many other vaccines

21 days gao is just what the trials were done as and hence the recomendation. But as time went on and we learned more and more data came out it seems a longer gap is actually better
