I was torn between Halfaxa and Visions but chose Visions, can you share yours? Please vote for your favorite musically but lmk which cover is your favorite as well. They all have the gothic medieval sound that sounds nostalgic yet dark (her tone in Visions is a bit brighter but same feeling mostly) then the sharp drums and also the catchy, pop inspired melodies (people always find it strange that I say this but even geidi primes is full of pop melodies imo) It's amazing witnessing this sound grow within the three different albums. I say that Visions is my favorite only because of the more polished production and mixing - it is a masterpiece to me. And also that is when I became a fan so 💞 Art Angels is a totally different direction for her, she learnt how to play more instruments, mostly guitar. I love love love this album as well, great songwriting, she improved her singing a lot here. I enjoyed Miss Anthropocene as well, it has some tracks that feel like the older Grimes stuff to me and I loved it, while at the same time it sounds new. It is just very well executed in my opinion. It's one-of-a-kind I hope no mattter how popular and major label she gets she keeps up the tradition and never does a stereotypical self-portrait "Visions" is the album that got me into Grimes and she still hasn't topped it imo!
