Is AOC president material?

I would love her and Bernie to be president and VP or vice versa but I know only in my dreams.

Mods please close thread @StarstruckIllusion and I have democratically agreed. AOC will be our president in the near future.

Presidential material sure, but she’d have a hard time clinching the presidency. Too much name recognition is a thing and she’s being watched like a hawk by everyone. Any little mistake she makes in her career as a rep can come back and bite her.

she would never win. Independent voters and baby boomers would literally carry the republican candidate to victory over her. although I would love to see her be president one day

Well people in the USA are mortified of socialism (even though they are the biggest economy the USA also has the most disadvantagestist system for their own people). Why are people so afraid of the benefits of socialism?

Baby boomers won't be alive when she's president though. I'm thinking when she's in her mid 40s baby boomers will be gone or at least a huge part of them. After all baby boomers are a generation born between 1946 & 1964 so when AOC is in her mid 40s they'd be in their 80s or dead (statistically speaking life expectancy in the USA is 78 so in that sense many would be already gone).

She's got the charisma for it, which frankly is the single most important thing.

I struggle with this because I don't stan politicians. Most presidents become war criminals. In general I really like her and if she already chosen this as her path...might as well have a president as competent and seemingly compassionate as her.

Edit: to add - is she president material? yes. do I believe she'd be successful and this country would make that happen? no. would I like that to be the case and wish her one day winning a presidency is realistic? yes
