He's relevant because he still makes decent and sometimes, actually really good, music. I think it's unfortunate what he did and absolutely tragic, but..... he's kind of redeemed himself?

You'll notice that male artists who have done wrong tend to be forgiven a lot faster than females and can continue to get hits. In this sexist world, it's just the way it is. Chris also has a lot of female fans and they're noted for their loyalty and their ability to forgive. I'm female and even I can't work out why you'd buy someone's music just because you think they're hot but it's a reality nonetheless. Also, he collabs with successful names frequently, which can help chart position. One of his highest charting hits in years was No Guidance in 2019 purely because Drake was on it and he was piggybacking off his success and respect whereas nothing else from that album went top ten. His album sales have been going down considerably with every album since 2011, though, so he will run out of steam soon enough, even if it's just because he's naturally run his course as an artist as opposed to being cancelled for all the horrible stuff he's done. What I want to know though is why Marilyn Manson can get dropped from his label and all other opportunities basically overnight from accusations alone but Chris Brown has never been dropped to this day despite visual and medical proof of his wrongdoings? Not saying accusations shouldn't be believed just that Chris had actual evidence against him which you'd think would be more than damning enough to drop him as well. I don't understand the world sometimes.

In what way has he redeemed himself? As I understand it, he was still treating future girlfriends badly. His most famous relationship post-Rihanna was Karrueche Tran, who he cheated on and his affair resulted in his daughter. Karrueche got a 5 year restraining order against him due to his abuse towards her and threatening her after they broke up. And in addition to that, he threw a chair out of a window in anger after his Good Morning America interview and has been involved in several fights, assaults and so on ever since. Just look up his legal issues, you'll find them all there. It's clear he's learned nothing from his initial disgrace. He's got severe anger issues and unless he gets serious rehabilitation, will likely never change. How he's allowed to still release music is beyond me.

The question how many flops did he had to finally get on top 5 again. Its like some 20 songs at least, with collabs and more collabs and them some more. 

I think before this one the biggest appearance like by gp was with a strange white rapper  that is a bit goofy, a pretty cringy song. 

At least last songs have some improvement. In the end he works hard

He was semi cancelled from 2009-2011 and then rihanna forgave him which gave his career a second wind
