Trump was acting “within the scope of his office” in denying wrongdoing after White House reporters asked him about claims by columnist E. Jean Carroll in a June 2019 book that he attacked her in the mid-1990s at an upscale Manhattan department store, the lawyers from the Washington office of the Justice Department wrote.

“Elected public officials can — and often must — address allegations regarding personal wrongdoing that inspire doubt about their suitability for office,” the lawyers said.

All this while Harris is telling Latin and South American immigrants that they shouldn't come to America, their administration is trying to increase the budget for ICE, and "pragmatic" Biden can't get Joe Manchin, let alone a single Republican, to support any of his major policy proposals, the exact opposite of what we on the left were told was the reason we had to support him over the "unrealistic" progressive candidate. 

We warned you guys about these "pragmatic" liberals essentially being Republicans in disguise. Maybe all of the people on here who trashed us for years leading up to the election will listen to us next time instead of inventing excuses for terrible people in positions of power just because they have a D next to their name.

Are the recent actions by this administration gross, annoying, and a big part of the problem holding our country back? Absolutely. 

But I'm wondering what you mean by people "listening to you next time" because this administration was still the best option after the primaries. Not many progressive people voted *for* Biden; they voted *against* the other guy. 

The current governmental AND societal structure in the U.S. simply does not make 3rd party a legitimate option. I genuinely hope that changes asap, but a write-in or 3rd party vote for the 2020 election cycle wouldn't have changed anything lol 

I'm not happy about these developments. I have been and will continue to speak out about them as much as I can with letters/petitions/protests. I dislike this administration. But this also doesn't make me wish the last one (45) was back in the oval office staining the stationary orange.

I'm saying that we (the left) told conservative Democrats that this is exactly who Biden was and we were trashed for literal years on this site for criticizing him during the primaries. I don't know what you find funny about my last post about Biden attempting to give more money than Trump did to a domestic terrorist outfit like ICE that brutalizes immigrants and puts kids in camps on the border, either, but... that's pretty despicable.

Yeah, so I never assumed you were a Trump supporter. I brought up him and 3rd party/write-ins because those were the only options besides the one were stuck with today; I thought that was obvious but I guess not, so my bad for assuming it was. 

And the thing is..... we knew. We knew his administration was an establishment democrat-led one (which amounts to solidly conservative in most other places in the world) that would largely maintain status quo. That's why he won. People were tired of the chaos of the last guy and wanted politics to go back to being boring enough for the GP to ignore. Unfortunate, but that's the reality right now. 

No one here is disagreeing with you about the ICE thing right now so no need to retype your thoughts on it. 

The part I found funny was the "told you so" attitude you came on strong with because....what exactly was the other miracle option you apparently told us about that we viciously struck down? After the primaries got rigged, it was either what we have now, Trump, or revolution. Not enough people are willing to commit to a revolution here, we have Biden now, and we'd be at a million Covid deaths by now if Trump won again. The pointed tone in your first post on here was pretty aggressive for the situation at hand, seeing as we had very little control over the whole situation in general. Sooooooo
