During ARTPOP she wasn't in a good mental state and her rebel and reckless spirit made her blind, the song in question in which they collaborated talks about how she doesn't care about her physical body and how much pain she has to take with it. 20 hours ago, enissa11 said: i brought that up because you acted as if she never addressed that and made her explanations and apologized, that's the reason i don't question gaga genuinely interest in women's advocacy, she also has actively supported other women in the industry and other victims of sexual assault, she also has the btw foundation etc. If you think it were poor excuses that's on you. I just have seen taylor speaking in general about her discomfort about the industry and her own experiences and profiting from it. Plus the case of gaga was before the explosion of the me too movement and the increasing social awareness in recent years, today you have less excuses to work with abusers. so you saw me indulging gaga's involvement with abusers back in the day? even if you do, am i not allowed to change my opinion? 15 minutes ago, enissa11 said: yes, but i think gaga has redeemed herself enough at this point, her apology was sincere, she was the most active supporting star for kesha during her lawsuit, and gave visibility and actively involved a lot of sexual assault victims during her oscar performance, and today she still continues to help ppl with the btw foundation. For me there's no doubt she genuinely cares. I just have seen taylor giving nice and supporting words to others, then critiquing the industry from her perspective and being condescending in her documentary and songs while profiting from it, that's my perspective. And as i said before, today you have less excuses to work with abusers, after the explosion of the me too movement and the rising social awareness about this issues. Y’all forgetting she literally worked with Robert Rodriguez who abused rosé mcgowan Interestingly, she also does not name her ex-boyfriend, Robert Rodriguez, who directed her in “Planet Terror” in 2007 (part of a collaboration with Quentin Tarantino called “Grindhouse”), instead referring to him as “RR,” even though their relationship, while he was still married, was well-documented. She has some truly terrible stories about his jealousy and erratic behavior. One involves a kissing scene she was supposed to have with the actor Freddy Rodriguez. McGowan claims the director was so possessive, he shaved his facial hair in the same pattern as the actor so he could do the scene instead. Rodriguez and Tarantino eventually sold the film to Weinstein. “I can’t tell you what it’s like to be sold into the hands of the man who had assaulted me and scarred me for life,” she writes. “I had to do press events with the Monster and see photos of us together, his big fat paw pulling me in to his body.” Source She also said he would berate her about her weight and threatened to have Jessica Alba take over her role in the movie. She writes that he threatened to fire her from the project multiple times, but one time really stood out. "This time he declared he was going to fire me because I was secretly in love with Quentin, wanted to sleep with Quentin. That was as far from reality as it got," she said. "RR stormed out of my trailer, saying he'd be back with a lie detector machine to see if I really did love Quentin." She said she then began asking people on set if they had a Valium she could take before he returned, because she started having a "full-on panic attack." "My door got thrown open and there he stood holding a cruel-looking yellow machine with electrode-like wire things. I thought I was going to pass out from fear," she described. "I shrank back against the wall and started to cry. He told me to sit; I sat. He attached the machine to me, turned it on, and started in, each question feeling like a bullet. I thought I was going to throw up, my stomach tight and clenched. I could barely breathe I was so afraid. The questions were all along the lines of, 'Did you f-ck Quentin?' It was laughable, but in the moment, the situation was no laughing matter. The crew probably thought we were having sex in there, but no, I was being terrorized. The lie detector said the answers were unclear. RR ripped the wire off me and stormed out of the trailer and back tot he set." According to McGowan, she had to get right back to work after that, filming the movie for another six hours. "If they gave out Oscars for pain and suffering," she said, "I'd have been a shoo-in." Source it is horrible what she's been through with weinstein, but there are some inaccuracies that the media sprout to create a squarrel between Robert and Rose, robert didn't sold the movie to him, he was already a producer when Rose accepted the role, she was obliged in the sense of accepting the role or be out of job. After Rose publicized her book, he didn't dismissed her narrative, but supported her, and condemn how the media framed the things rose told on her book: "It’s when publications don’t fact check these basic things, you end up with something inaccurate that then has to be disqualified," he said. "And I don’t want to have to disqualify it because I agree with what Rose is trying to do overall, which is continue to push for change both in our industry and beyond." This means he accepted his culpability, but at the end of the day we can just only blame him for being a toxic and jealous ex boyfriend at the time and also being a part of this horrendous system that oppress women without doing anything to change it, which is sad because the movies of Grindhouse were all about female empowerment in a bizarre way. But Robert is not a rapist or an abuser to the point of shove, push, hit and publicly humiliate people on the set, it's just not comparable, should we cancel then all the toxic ex-boyfriends? source Mad Architect of Light

Highly doubt it, he’s an Oscars kind of director, has received 5 nominations most specifically. He’s the American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook director (the movie JLaw won her Oscar for)
