Maybe understand that Gaga isn't someone who's going to exploit the gay community?? Like, I understand this critique with other, bigger companies. When Born This Way, the actual era, happened and she was literally everywhere with all kinds of merch and products, no one batted a ****ing eye, but now she celebrates the 10th anniversary with some T-shirts and make-up, people are like, "This is a cash grab. I mean, Chromatica had like 6 sponsorship deals: Apple - Adobe - Lambo - LG - OREO - Don Perignon. 

But as others point out, Gaga has alllways been super commercial and capitalistic ever since the Fame. Pop culture and consumerism was her brand. Literally every TF/TFM video had product placement. Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, LoveGame, Telephone, were very on the nose with it. 

I love her but this is something we all must acknowledge. 

You can always ignore it though. Born This Way is Born This Way to you. Enjoy the visual serves but you are not obliged to buy anything.

I doubt that, she has the power to negotiate how much of a percentage she gets from the profits, true that she doesn’t have control on how much they jack the prices but the high prices is due to everyone wanting in on the merch profits since albums don’t sell. If it’s not her herself, her team would want in on the percentage it’s how they make money, at the end of the day she’s still making money for herself especially with all the endorsement deals she has made, at end of the day it’s not like she’s doing all this out of charity, just saying.
