In first place, each one of us here can easily predict the ESC winner and has done that in almost every single contest since we started following it. Secondly, none of us here was saying that Spain missed a winning chance, we are saying that Spain lost a chance to show an entry that would proudly represent that country, instead of another cheap song. Plus, Spain again sending a song that didn't win televote, it's so annoying specially when we finally got a decent national final, instead of a selection of 2 songs...

but that’s the thing, National televote is hugely different from what other countries think. Tix massively flopped last year but won such a huge percentage of the national televote. Some happened with Bilal. The jury is there to pick the song that will do decently at Eurovision and the other songs were just too weird.

Some of you are so bitter it's not even funny :awkney:

Rigo couldn't hold a note even if her life depended on it. Singing about tits it's not as groundbreaking as people think. Yes, the mamamama is catchy but that's about it. The performance was a mess and she lacks stage presence.

Tanxu's song was good but that staging was bad. I know it was part of their culture but it didn't translate well to the stage. They also looked awkward on stage.

Chanel's song is nothing special but her performance sells it. She has charisma. A powerful stage presence and nice voice and moves. She proved herself during that first semi final. Her performance is Eurovision ready (maybe some minor changes).

Kindness rules all.

Not the "Rigoberta couldn't hold a note" :messga:

Rigoberta did great at her semi but worse at the final, everyone was having sound issues last night. She can still deliver vocals even if she had a not that great performance yesterday.

The thing that scares me the most with Chanel is that she had backing vocals of her own voice, and that's not allowed in ESC so we'll see how that goes.

She also said she's planning to go bigger at ESC so Im excited.

SloMo won't rock my world that much, but it will save Spain from another zero points.

Well, she can have a back singer, right? I don't think it's something to worry about. And she still has two months to get ready.

Pre-recorded background vocals are allowed, like last year.

But they can't be the main singer vocals, so it'll sound slightly different.

Anyways I know she's gonna serve and I'm hoping for a Top 10-15

That’s not true. They can’t be the lead vocals, but they can be from the lead singer:

“The accompanying Backing track may optionally contain Backing Vocals. However, the Backing track in question shall not contain (i) Lead Vocals, (ii) Lead Dubs and/or (iii) any other vocals that would have the effect of, or aim at, replacing or unduly assisting the Lead Vocal(s) during the live performance on stage.”

Albina from Croatia for example did use her own voice for the backings.

I see there has already been some drama while I was away :ally:

After a month or so the OP is now up to date with the semi-finals, entries and the ugly logo
