Ugh, this was not the news I wanted to see on such a beautiful Friday morning. We've always known about this horrible tragedy in her life, but to hear her speak so openly and candidly about it is heartbreaking.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Something that’s bothering me in this thread is people assuming she would feel bad if she did terminate the pregnancy.

First off, we don’t know if she did—we can speculate based on the MTN video, but ultimately, we really don’t know, and it’s not our business anyway. However, not everyone who does have an abortion feels guilt over it. Someone close to me was raped as a teen, got pregnant, and had an abortion, and she claims she doesn’t regret terminating the pregnancy one bit. (You know what she regrets? Being raped.) Even people who get pregnant from consensual sex and end up terminating the pregnancy don’t always feel a sense of loss. Also, abortion doesn’t always involve an operation; it depends on what stage it was done.

If Gaga did terminate her pregnancy, we really don’t know how she feels about it.

We don’t have a consistent timeline, but it’s likely that she/her doctors learned of the pregnancy quite quickly, so while she might have had an abortion, it probably wasn’t as involved as many consider. For a few weeks, we’re talking very small (just clumps of cells)

She literally spelled this out for us in the MTN music video but to have it confirmed is still such a shock. My heart goes out to her. She’s no doubt had many years of therapy and help to process this trauma and she finally felt ready to speak on it. Glad to see her fans supporting her and not going on a witch hunt which would be irresponsible and could potentially cause innocent people, or Her, to further suffer. ❤️🩹 God Bless Gaga.

Well, she has all the right to rebel and use her power to bring light to this issue. And I'm glad she never gave up her dream to become a musician.

LastNight

My heart breaks for her. The devastation of something like that happening, compounded by years in the spotlight, people dragging her through the mud, commenting on her looks, her body, her weight, dealing with pressures from the fans and label...it must be a living nightmare at times.

From what she said in this interview we can assume this was someone she potentially worked with on early Gaga tracks, imagine if some of those songs made her debut album and how deeply triggering that must be to maybe still be singing them on tour all this time later...

"You love the Paparazzi, love The Fame, even though you know it causes me pain."

She is literally referring to it on replay.

Those car noises at the beginning and then her being left somewhere saying "Am I still alive? Where am I, I cry."

Mister G

I watched this entire first episode. Omg in tears. Powerful moving stuff. Her story is so heartbreaking. If anyone has Apple TV+ I highly recommend. Her interview as well as Harry's, Oprah's, Virginia Fuchs, and Rashad Armstead were all very moving.

As gaga said...i don't think we should sit here and cry about what happened to her. Yes its very tragic, and as little monsters we hurt cause we love her, but we should not target who did this. We should learn from this and know to open up and get help when needed. She is very brave for this and is hoping to help people. So lets be happy was brave enough to open up about this in order to help other people.

Also she told Howard Stern that her assaulter later claimed they were dating, which lines up with **b

I know it’s not our place to know but it’s hard not to think about it, especially after watching this :(

But Rob started working with Gaga in 2007 when she was 21

And it happened to her at the age of 19

red wine, cheap perfume and a filthy pout

One of the most captivating moments of Gaga’s segment was when she spoke about suffering for 2.5 years and Oprah asks her what she was doing during that time, to which Gaga replies “Winning an Oscar”. To me, that captures what suffering in silence while appearing to be ok is all about. Putting on this front and having to pretend to be fine, even when amazing things are happening. That’s the depression that people don’t understand enough and I thank her so much for putting that under a microscope.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.
