well what I mean by this is its ok to be supportive of a hopefully non genocidal Israel in the future basically. Like for me if Netanyahu is removed and someone more progressive replaces him who is actually whole heartedly committed to a fair two state solution then honestly I will support Israel with open arms myself! I am not saying it is ok to support extremist Zionists like Netanyahu, the Israeli government and the Israeli military. An Israel in its current form is not ok and needs to be called out.

correct me if i'm wrong but the post is really not that bad? it's looking at both sides of the argument and isn't blindly supporting anyone...

Thats what people choose not to look at. They look at their own opinions and values and think they're defending the other argument. smdh :staymad:

Correction: This is not a both sides issue. These aren’t two different countries beefing. It’s the Israeli government trynna kill it’s own second-class citizens, who already live in what’s essentially an open prison, and committing war crimes while doing so. It’s like trynna both sides the colonizers vs native americans… only right wing racists do that. As they’re doing now - Netanyahoo is literally a huge Trump fan like lmao

Validating both sides of something isn’t inherently good. There is no both sides of “1+1 = 2” and “1+1 = 11.”

Looking at both sides of an argument is for miniscule things like why people prefer Android over Apple, not debating whether or not Israel inflicting genocide on Palestine is justified

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

The state of Israel is literally built on colonialism and genocide, the two do not and will never exist without one another. There is no fair two state solution when one of the states (Israel) is literally built on top of the other state that it stole and murdered.

Don’t try to explain yourself to an anti-semitic person, it’s useless :selena:

Let's take another scenario: someone breaks into your house, hold you at gunpoint while choking you (if anyone makes this sexual I WILL drag you to hell and back) and tells you let's live together in this new place that I call my home too now. Is there a valid "two sides" argument here or is the other person the one who needs to be removed and thrown away? Now apply this to Palestine and you got your "two sides". And no it's not more complicated than that.

i'm not the one with only one piece of the puzzle. i think what's happening in palestine is shocking, and i'll always stand by palestinians. i just don't think it's a coincidence that the notoriously anti-semitic modern left is ignoring a lot of anti-jewish hate crimes at the moment.

Everything is useless when you stan an illegitimate talking point. When you have 0 arguments: silence > calling people names

so you're saying looking at a situation objectively and critically is only for trivial things? you're actively propelling the ideas that encourage people to jump to conclusions. there is two sides to every argument.

even isis. even world war two. even trump voters.

there isn't a SINGLE geopolitical situation that doesn't have multiple viewpoints. they're geoPOLITICAL for a reason. they're all motivated by people's opinions.
