monstrosity 3,943
it really is embarrassing for BTS, they really tried to conquer the western market, but in fact the general public never really listened to their music, if they managed to chart it's only due to their fans, which is a pity because they're talented. Not to mention the fact that they are known in the West mostly for their crazy fans, it's "bts? oh yeah the band that has insane and toxic fans". At this point I think they will never be popular among the GP, because of their fans' reputation. Anyways, there are so many better things to do with 50,000 dollars, especially right now. This is insanity In Vietnam the kpop stans literally have gofundme (not that one, but basically crowdfunding) whenever their artists release something and they need to "farm" views & streams. StrawberryBlond 14,880
Are these funds all from these countries specifically? Because if that's the case, why don't they just all download it on the same day? I don't really understand what this is? I'm also wondering if there's any way the charts can stop it. I do remember when a j-pop act who no one knew suddenly got all the songs from their new album charting on US itunes and they all got removed due to non-US residents manipulating the system but I don't know how legit and manipulated sales get distinguished when they're coming from a country's own residents.
