Galvon 1,857
I was thinking this movie to be a prequel to the Glenn Close movies, since the first one came out in 1996 and ig also is set in that year. So it would work with the timeline, and Cruella being younger in the 1970s only makes more sense this way. Though Anita is now played by a black woman, so that's a continuity problem, at least if you wanna keep it realistic. Maybe it's not meant to be the same Anita, she seems a very different person, not just in looks. Anyway, it wouldn't make sense to be a prequel to the animated version since that one came out in 1961 and again ig is also set in that year and this new movie is set in the 1970s. How does het origin story take place 10 years in the future? For now I like to see this as a new adaption, not as a prequel to allready existing movies. ToxicHot 6,438
Very much looking forward to watching it. I have to admit, the trailers kinda turned me off seeing all the visual effects and whatnot, in the sense that it looks like a borderline-action film. But we’ll see what happens. I LOVE the character of Cruella from Glenn Close, she was basically one of my idols growing up. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1! LDGA 1,260
Well, i am not against it, but your movie must be utterly Scheiße to receive bad first reactions. I still think this will be a good movie, Emma Stone has the power to save the whole movie if needed.
Chinosky 1,980
I have faith in this because the director and one of the writers have made films I loved (The Favourite (2018) and I, Tonya (2017). I hope it's at least as good as Cinderella (2015). Lettuce pray. Father, Son, and House of Cucci

I'm ALL for inclusion, I think its extremely important to diversify and do better in media, but I hate when they change a characters race just to force diversity! Sometimes characters just are white people! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
Rebel 5,221
Um Emma Stone blowing Glenn Close out of the water? Anyway, I truly hope it's good even if the trailers don't excite me.

The cartoon is Anita Radcliffe, but the first live action its Anita Dearly and Cruella its Anita Darling... but she was a fashion designer in those films as well i believe? The Anita in the Cruella movie seems to be a journalist?
HausOfAntonio 7,995
Remember to illegally download this one sistren Disney doesn’t need our money for more trash remakes Gotta admit this is the only one I’m excited for.
Ashley 8,617
I want to watch this because it looks so good but..I’m afraid the subject matter will be too disturbing with the whole kidnapping dogs for their fur. Yes I’m a big baby.
rence a deux 1,483
My favorite Disney villain! I'm honestly excited to watch this but I'm sorry, no one could top Glenn Close! 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚕𝚢.

I'm just surprised there's so much positivity about a movie almost everyone was already unsure of but I guess paid reviews can do that. Unless the movie is actually good, we'll just have to wait and see. 7 hours ago, Forbidden Love said: Oh yeah it always was. The plot of the original 101 Dalmatians is her wanting to kidnap the dogs to make a coat out of their pelt. Of course Disney was more suggestive than outright saying that but...yeah HDKSLSLD Lmao so I suppose the dog-bit wont make it to the movie bcs it's too controversial right? (Im glad if it wont)
