morbidly obese people are not healthy and we should stop perpetuating such a harmful narrative.

I have to agree with this stance. First let me say clear and loved that WE don't have the right to tell others how to live, eat or feel about their bodies, but extreme obesity and the opposite are not meant to be glorified. It's great to love and accept yourself but not everyone can afford to be treated for eating disorders often caused by the mess and questionable information received from social media. I also understand that we can't put everyone in the same box but health organizations should be the ones providing accurate information about such serious topics.

You don’t know her full story or ANY bigger person so you have NO place judging someone or preaching about it. Worry about your own bodies

As an overweight woman, thank you! I have PCOS so, it is VERY hard to lose weight.

Sending you love  I don't have PCOS but I know people who do and I know it is a really tough thing to deal with in so many ways.

I'm on a number of medications that both cause weight gain and make it really difficult to lose weight, but I very likely would not even be alive without them. Health is a spectrum!

I take antidepressants and it can cause weight gain as well, but I need them

Considering we're discussing Tess' diagnosis and recovery process from an ED, this really isn't the forum for that take. Folks recovering from EDs are not at their healthiest and need love and support. And considering your first post in this topic, I don't think you're here to provide love or support.

She's showing off her body every day on social media. People are going to comment on it. It's how she is famous. There's no putting a lid on that no matter what she said. That's the reality of it. If people's comments are effecting her then she needs to either turn off commenting or take a break.

Catherine Oakeson, “plus sized” model and activist, 208kg, dead at 49 from a heart attack. Marge Swanson, “fat acceptance activist”, 187 kg, dead at 34 from a heart attack. Tess Holliday is committing suicide, just as anorexics who starve themselves to death and smokers who succumb to lung cancer or emphysema and alcoholics who die of cirrhosis of the liver or kidney failure do. Her life, her body, and if she doesn’t want to live to see her fiftieth birthday that her business. As long as I am not asked to be a pall bearer, I could not care less.

TSUNAMI

I was anorexic with 80 kg.

I didn't eat for 2 weeks, drank only water and vitamins. Ended up in the hospital then later on in therapy. My body never truly recovered from that.

This is so insensitive. It's not so easy for everyone.
