The amount of absolute horsesh*t being spun by some of you in this thread to suit your anti-British narrative is really quite disturbing and I would go as far as to liken it to Trump’s sycophants lapping up everything he spews out.
Oppose Boris and the Tories, but don’t act like France didn’t charge into this fishing situation guns blazing and the same with the EU regarding AstraZeneca.

Try and be objective and not have a hard-on for hating GB. P.S. Scotland is part of a successful UK-wide vaccination program thanks to the current government. I’m not a Tory, always been Labour, but pull your heads out of your ar**es please.

No, the vaccination programme in Scotland has been run by NHS Scotland by the SNP Government.

Not completely true.  The U.K. acted as a group in securing doses, the rollout of those doses were then handled by the SNP, which was originally critiqued on being slower than the rest of the union.

I was against Brexit but I’m not going to wish our countries to fail.  Especially when it’s the EU acting as the aggressor in every situation.

And so far the UK has come out on top with their conflicts with the EU.

It’s UK businesses that are collapsing, it is the union that is crumbling.

This is all so embarrassing :saladga:. The display of naval forces by both, the inability of solving these issues for once... Embarrassing.

Coincidentally, today I was helping two kids at the center with a paper about the 100 years war. And one of the kids was like...it seems that the UK and France hate each other again, the hostilities started( i confessed i didn't payed attention to the news lol, it was the kid who told me and he was just joking with the situation). The kid was of course joking and the situation it's just matter of politics and adjusting or comply the laws or the agreements made. But thinking about it and reading the other thread, if we will ever achieve world peace...Nah, unfortunately.

Astounding how some people here think this is the UK's fault, say what you like about BoJo but the UK are not the messy ones here.

The French are the aggressors, they had months to sort their fishing licensing out with Jersey (not controlled by the UK btw). Now they throw their toys out of the pram and it's the UK's fault for defending their waters after the French are literally blocking sea ports and threatening war?.... and i quote "We’re ready for war. We can bring Jersey to its knees if necessary" backed up by the French government. As part of the EU they agreed to this deal on fisheries (which isn't exactly great for either France or the UK, it was a compromise), they now deal with the ramifications of the Brexit deal.

Macron is so transparent, there's a French election coming up and he's trying to show some sort of leadership. a little too late now, it does come off as small d*ck energy. Macron should be worried at this point, if he loses the election the French might also leave the EU. I'll be interested on what take Marine Le Pen (Macron's opposition) has on this.

It’s not the UK that “hates” the French, it’s the English - it’s been a long rivalry for hundreds of years. Scotland has always had an alliance with the French.
