So... :sweat:idk if this is the right way to do this... I just wanted to share this new song by Ana Moura. I'm currently hugely obsessed with it, it's in portuguese so probably very few will understand the lyrics. Ana Moura it's a very successful fado singer. Maybe some of you know her.

@Economy tell me if like it. I'm sorry I know there's others that speak portuguese or live in Portugal i just can't remember the names. :fail:

I like the lyrics... Idk maybe it's because I felt kind of "jailed" this last year lol kind of hopeless...and the song has this message of freedom, and kind of hopeful looking forward. I love the beat, the rhythm, together with the Portuguese guitar. Yeah to me it is, a modern approach to fado, i guess. I'm not the most knowledgeable person regarding fado. But the song just got stock in my head since Friday and i already like a lot of songs by Ana Moura, this one it's kind of different.

Curious, now that you mentioned, i just remember only seeing males sing it as well. When I was in college i went a few times to Coimbra for the "Queima das fitas" listening to the serenata. In my mind the fado from Coimbra it's sang by students, with their uniforms (traje, negro). The poems also seem a bit different from the ones from Lisboa. The fado from Lisboa, is the fado from the taverna's, more popular i guess. Also I think the portuguese guitar used in Lisboa e Coimbra have some little differences, i think i read that somewhere.
