Kansas State Representative charged with battery on a student

Kansas State Representative Mark Samsel (Republican) was arrested Thursday after the representative kneed the student in the crotch. Samsel was working in the school as a substitute teacher at the time. Video footage showed him following the student around the classroom, putting his hands on the student and saying "You're about to anger me and get the wrath of God." The student is later filmed on the floor while Samsel asks "did it hurt?" and that he "should run and scream." He also gave other students "permission to kick [the student] in the balls" and asks them to "check [the students] nuts for him." He is also seen lifting another male student from behind while warning him about "distractions from the devil." 

In other video footage from throughout the school day, Samsel is heard telling students about a sophomore who tried committing suicide three times because "he has two parents and they're both females." He was also recorded speaking about the will of God, sex, masturbation, procreation, and the sanctity of marriage. 

The representative was released on a $1,000 bond. 

You know what the craziest part of all this is for me though? I went to junior high here and my stepfather is a teacher here. He only just worked with this man earlier this week!

I lived in a village with old culture mentality so this is not surprising. Its not that the teacher was evil hearted... she just had that old fashioned mentality that being really tough with discipline and hitting student was good for the students development

 

The other teachers i remember werent as bad tho. My kindergarden teacher and her helper was really nice and patient... my grade 1 teacher was a little tougher and on occasion would give a little slap but it would have to be for something major... and this other teacher in the school who unfortunately i never had (dona dilva) was pretty nice and reasonable from what i saw

 

My grade 2 & 3 teacher (Diulinda) she was the mean one and of course i had to have her for 2 years straight

I know back in the day corporeal punishment was allowed, isn't that illegal now though? or does the rule change for different countries?

it’s jesus freaks like this that get on my nerves. they use god and religion as a weapon for their own delusions. thinking that god would be on his side for harming an innocent child is nothing short of demonic. if he thinks he’s doing a justice for his religion and that he deserves an entry into “heaven”, then he’s a moron.

child abuse is not good-willed. hopefully he is further punished, if not, hopefully parents and the community will come together to get rid of this loser.
