No, did you read the second article I sent you? Have you read the Copenhagen criteria.

I can’t view the second article as I’m not a member of that site.  Referring to the comments though they state the source is some conservative ultra liberal American site and we should not trust them.

The Copenhagen criteria are just baseline requirements.  Remember your asking a group of countries to take over your deficit... that’s why they have said multiple times that Scotland must reduce its deficit if they don’t want to be vetoed.

What? We would be a voice like any other country in the EU. For example every single country gets a veto on anything that is proposed. We don’t get that in the “union of equals”

The SNP can work with whatever party they choose to get a majority on a vote.  I’d take majorities over relying on not a single member deciding no on something out of spite.

They are no mention of deficit in the criteria. The deficit is only taking into account if we wanted to join the euro zone which I am against. Plus, our deficit is under UK spending. The UK has had a deficit every year since 2002

Spain has already said they wouldn’t veto us as long as we do it legally.

You keep pretending Scotland doesn’t have a voice but she elects MP’s just like the rest of the kingdom.  Those MP’s can work with other parties if they don’t believe something they want to bring to the commons will pass.  It’s what every other party does... if the SNP refuse to be useful MP’s that is their failings and not the kingdom’s.

So, the SNP say if they get a majority they have a mandate.  The UK refuses an official referendum but Scotland forces one through.  Then imagine that it actually gets a majority voting for independence...

Catalonia then says the same...

See the issue here :trollga:

Two totally different issues. Scotland is a nation. Catalonia just a wee bit of Spain.

I’m afraid it’s not different.  You’re asking Spain to cause itself further national unrest to take on your deficit... they gain absolutely nothing but problems by accepting Scotland so it’s not going to happen :ladyhaha:

I'm a lurker but I always see you post these kind of posts. You understand most users here are American and couldn't place the UK on the map, let alone Scotland right? Why do you think they care? They don't. Sorry honey, you are idealistic, bigoted and delusional.

There is a world outside of America.

Whether Scotland is a part of the UK or not, she’s still family... only we can slate each other :what:

If you don’t like my threads don’t comment. Don’t look. Where have I showed bigotry? All I show is valid arguments in favour of Independence for Scotland. They are a member here that posts about Canadian economy but I barely look because I’m not interested
