What is the Q? Other gender? Like latinx?

It stands for “questioning” aka people who don’t fully know if they identify as gay, bi, pan, ace, etc etc

It stands for Queer, which is a word that I generally dislike and I find uncomfortable (it used to be a slur). I’m not one for reclaiming pejoratives. And as a Latino, I hate Latinx! It’s grammatically incorrect and it doesn’t roll off the tongue like Latino and Latina do.

No, because it rightfully belongs there.

It doesn’t. We’re not all the same and we don’t go through the same experiences. LGBT is enough.

I swear Americans are such snowflakes. Pandering or not, he's on your side publicly, and that's what matters in politics. Having politicians talking freely about these things is what opens up conversations in the general population.

I haven't seen anything homophobic from him in this video, so I'm not sure where the offense is. Tokenizing is annoying but there are much worse things to worry about when it comes to politicians.

Seriously. If you're truly offended by this then that probably goes to speak about how privileged your life is, despite being a targeted minority.

Gay New Yorker here - this is nothing lol. He has my vote. Some things the media has come at him for has merit, but I’ve seen a lot of stretchhhhh.

President Biden

This is why Dianne Morales and Maya Wiley are the superior options. It’s time for NYC to have a qualified, woman mayor.

Andrew Yang is the Blue MAGA’s Trump. He panders to right wing extremist no less than Tulsi Gabbard.

He as a candidate holds a lot of the economic and social values, ideals, and principles that I think would do a lot of good for this country.

His social politics have weird streaks of conservatism, such as his beliefs about restricting ****ography and odd commentary on circumcision. I don’t think we need that.

Because he doesn't support circumcision?

Because he has a long history of vague policies and pandering to the same white racists that we so often like to criticize. You can’t act like the Democrats should be a beacon of diversity and enable people like Joe Rogan or Tucker Carlson on the side.

Honestly who cares. He doesn’t know the community but it’s not like he’s going to take any rights away. There are way more important issues in NYC than lgbtq issues. This doesn’t affect my vote in any way.

I’d say 15. 10 years ago we were definitely already being pandered to.

Accurate considering the Obama/Biden ticket won in 2008 despite saying they supported traditional marriage values.

In 2008 Obama also said he’s against the existence of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and said DOMA was unconstitutional in 2010. Gay rights were huge in the late 2000’s/early 2020’s. They were the hot button issue back then.

Oh yeah, I know  I wasn't saying it to discredit them, just saying even the administration that gave us equal marriage rights was walking a line in 2008

Andrew is so out of his element being a career politician. I'm pretty sure it's the reason I like him. What he said was cringe but he's not against gay people. Why does everyone get so offended over stupid mistakes?
