No one has been able to recover the data from it. :( Don't throw it away. Hold on to it. There may be a time in the future when they have better technology to save it. Was there an accident, or a technical failure? Don't give up. In LA alone, where I live, there are dozens of speciality shops with computer whizzes in them. I bet you the datapanel itself, those little microchips and gold and green wirings, are ok, some connector or component might have dislodged itself in the fall. Good that you are holding on to it!
