Countries smeared the vaccine left and right and now no one will take it. How are these governments surprised????? I took an Astra shot and I'm 24. I feel great. Hoping to take my 2nd shot in July.

It’s unfortunate that the information regarding the vaccines has been a mess. I understand the want to be able to be safe etc. but there is just so much misinformation out there right now.

People are wanting vaccines with the highest efficacy rates because they feel they will be more effective etc but fail to realize that the testing phases of these vaccines were done during different times in the pandemic. Pfizer and Moderna doing their tests during the lowest and Johnson Johnson during a higher rate of infection. You can’t really compare those numbers because what if Pfizer did tests during a different time in the pandemic it might have similar efficacy as Johnson. More people could have been infected which means lower efficacy. I think the most important thing you can compare is that they are 100% effective against hospitalizations and serious effects from the virus. 
 

as far as people bringing up odds I don’t understand because if you compare odds of the vaccine to actually getting the virus I would choose the vaccine. And people who think well the chance is still there there is also chances of getting hit by a car or car accident or anything really and you still take those chances every day. 

but I think at this point people are just going to make their own decisions you can’t make anyone do what they don’t want to do. The only thing you can do is to make sure you and your family are safe. Unfortunately the people who take those greater chances will have to figure it out for themselves and maybe they will be fine who knows but not much you can do.

Edit: as for the last part u added, i agree undereporting would have consequences but my issue is not them reporting it... its the AMOUNT of focus on it. The disproportionate attention on it makes ppl loose perspective on how low the odds actually are

 

Well i'm sorry but it's going to seem that way when everyone reports on it. It's going to be everywhere when realistically it's just every publication reporting on each event a couple times max. But as the viewer you can't go anywhere without seeing it somewhere. 

Also you are still reporting on the issue regardless, just as the media will pick this story up too, the vaccine rollout is hot news, how is that surprising?
