I'm so tired of the divisiveness conservatives in Canada are trying to spread and their partisan polical games. They're disgusting.

I can relate, they’re just as malicious and vile in the U.S.  Our societies would probably be better off without that force of evil and negativity, especially since most conservatives are the reason this pandemic is so bad (they don’t want to: stay home, social distance, wear a mask, get a vaccine, etc).

Ok legit dont just blame conservatives for this. Literally i see ppl of ALL political beliefs do this. Not following direction is something everyone is doing

The biggest different is i find those on the left claim to support restrictions but then u see them not following it themselves. In my mind that just makes u more hypocritical :neyde:

Id consider myself a solid centrist and ive followed rules more tightly than half of left wingers i know tbh

Where conservatives definitely share more blame tho is political resistance on media to restrictions and stuff which has an impact. But on an individual basis i dont see one side being so much more enlightned or taking personal responsibility on the pandemic tbh. A lot of people preach but dont do

Well from the way you put it in those terms, it certainly sounds like Canada is far, far worse off than the United States in regard to covid responses across the political spectrum at this point.  At least here, most centrists and lefties I know strongly abided by the guidlines for the past year and are so ready for this to be done and over with!  I hope it all gets better up there with the vaccinations though, it will help immeasurably once you can all get the shot.

I think the dynamics definitely may be a little different tbh

The usual conservative vs liberal vs progressive tendencies and ways of thinking from what i see on media at least suggest theres some differences between Canada and US

Theres definitely some simmilarities and tendencies but theres definitely differences as well

I find here theres more mix and match among individuals and immigrants etc. Its harder to seperate ppl onto 2 common sides, ppls tendencies by political affiliatiom are definitely less clear cut here

For example a typical immigrant may be more socially comservative than the average Canadian which is more progressive (if not rural dwelling) yet they are more likely to be left wing on economy for example... and which parties they afiliate with is more all over the place

But back to the pandemic, im definitely seeing irresponsibility from ppl of all political ties

Considering we are the 2nd or 3rd most numerous on GGD after Americans (and maybe UK members) could almost make sense
