I'm just gonna say this album is exactly what I needed right now. I broke up with my long term partner of eight years because we're in very different places and I am utterly heartbroken.

This album is a real tonic and I can feel a lot of the pain in it.

Yes. Venus Fly Trap reminds me a bit of Primadonna in a way the lyrics flow but also TFJ vocals. Highly Emotional People is some next level sh1t to me. And vocals reminds me of Buy The Stars and a little bit Electra Heart. New America is like modern Hollywood.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

I cant believe some people dont like the singles she's released???!!! Purge the Poison and title track are such good songs! so well written yet pop

I like Man's World and ADIAML is ok, but Purge the Poison is a bit too hysterical for me, production wise. Also so many lyrics that don't flow very well. I've tried to like it, but it hasn't clicked with me yet.

Crescent Bloom

75% done with my first listen and I think this might be on par with FROOT as my favorite Marina project. Mature, but harkens back to her earlier melodic sound. It's really earthy, atmospheric, and overall punchy-yet-pretty.

The album leaked in HQ (320kbps) and it's... wow.

Said it before and will say it again, Highly Emotional People is so damn good.

i had a realization on the tram whilst listening to the album (which i’m also doing right now :bradley:). i think, after love + fear, this one could have been called eco + ego, if she wanted to follow up on it stylistically. there are two, thematically clear threads that are woven into one another: the macro part (eco) that’s socio-politically-minded and the micro part (ego) whose love/heartbreak-inspired narrative plays out more at an individual level. just a random observation; for some reason, my mind plays with words, including their (typo)graphic forms, and reads/unlocks texts by applying them as keys. :vegas:
