Poltergeist 3,340 Posted June 6, 2021 Share Posted June 6, 2021 I can't say it's my favorite Marina's album, but I LOVE the fact that it combines the styles from all her previous eras! Many songs have Froot/Electra Heart type instrumentals, Electra Heart + LF vocals, Froot backing vocals (which I'm crazy for, New America's ending ), chaos from TFJ. Every fan of Marina will find something for themselves! As for now I'm sure New America and I Love You are earworms and will grow in me, I think I've had too high expectations for Venus Fly Trap but it's surely a grower as well. Highly Emotional People is beautiful, slightly reminds me of Teen Idle sometimes, Pandora's Box chorus is haunting and beautiful, but I've already forgot the rest. I adore the singles so far and made the decision to not listen to the leaks.
