I kind of feel for DJWS. I know he gets paid and all that, but it was clearly a passion project for him and it must have sucked for the reception to be so polarizing...especially as some of the critics weren't entirely fair (I think one of the big music journos called out other music journos for not being terribly objective to Gag at the time). Honestly, it's kind of shocking to recall how sexist and cruel some music critics were back in the day (and still are).
