Wouldn't it stop being as effective? @SwissMonster do you have any idea? I don’t think it is a problem looking at how effective it is. The bigger problem is that the more people we have out there with one dose, the higher is the chance that we get a mutation that can hold against the vaccine. So I really feel meh about this. It can be good but can also turn real bad SwissMonster®️ - Creating controversy since 1999
HermioneT 1,998
18% vaccinated isn't that bad. In most of the EU it is way worse and the number of infections are much higher than those of Canada. Actually 9000 new infections per day would be a great day for Germany - we are at 15.000 ~ 25.000 a day (despite being in Lockdown for 7 months). So from an outward perspective it isn't looking too bad in Canada - keep your hopes up! With warmer temperatures coming and the vaccinations going on, things will be way better in summer. Ford is probably on the same level as Ron Desantis An out of touch loon but not nearly as dangerous as Grand Wizard Donald You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. Considering Germanies population is just over double of Canadas (Canada just under 40 Milliom, Germany a little over 80 Million) that actually puts our current infection rate per capita rougly the same then And i never said our vaccination rates are bad. Other ppl are the ones saying that. Ppl keep comparing us to the US or UK with high vaccine rates instead of the rest of the world and conclude weve done a bad job we had major delays in January and early February in shipments so the beggining of vaccinations started really slow in Canada but that wasnt really the Governments fault and theres not much their could of done about that I do feel ppl here are being unfair with the Government. Not everything that goes wrong is always within their control.

I would also argue hes been in a very tough position. Shut things down too long and businesses die... open up and ppl die of covid... half measures u get a bit of both... No matter what theres an issue with whatever u choose to do My biggest criticism of him in the pandemic is he is not always targeting the stuff where spread actually happens the most and small businesses should have gotten more assistance than they did. And only essential items being allowed to be sold during shutdowns should of been done earlier as to not unfairly give big box stores a competitive edge over smaller stores in malls or any mom and pop independants some cities have (my city only has chains tho basically) But overall for most things were in a situation where theres almost never perfect decisions. Your dammed if you do and dammed if you dont It shouldnt be surprising in almost every Country people arent happy with their government. But its a pandemic, theres no way to avoid suffering of one kind or another realistically. No human leader has the power to prevent that
