and yeah, dissonance can sometimes sound interesting or create a specific effect. I personally think it sounds jarring so I changed it

I also was uncomfortable at first listen but then i listened closely and it's not off key, just not conventional. But it works

I think the real issue is that we’re all extremely used to hearing the song a certain way, and the key difference is making us feel like something isn’t right. I’m no musical expert, but now that my ear got used to the new sound, I don’t hear a dissonance anymore. I think the uncomfortable effect is also serving the purpose of the video: it’s all a bit menacing. I’d love to hear this Free Woman version in full, if it exists.
