James Charles is “taking accountability” for messaging boys under the age of 18. He wanted to stress that though this video was released on April Fool’s Day, it is not a joke. He goes on to say that this is not going to be anything like his “No More Lies” video, as it is unscripted. He basically admits that it is all his fault for not confirming people’s ages. He apologizes to the boys who he has affected. James admits that when the Tati situation happened, he was more focused on the accusations surrounding straight guys, but he now knows that his issue is much deeper. He elaborates on this by admitting it is inappropriate for him to use his explore page as a dating app. He acknowledges that the power imbalance present when a celebrity pursues people who are not famous is very inappropriate and he is “ashamed and embarrassed.” He stresses that this video is not meant to just wash his hands of the situation, and he promises to prove with his actions that he is going to be more careful going forward. He ends the video by saying that this will “never ever happen again.” He is “going to be taking some time away from posting to reflect and learn about these topics.”

I think this video did its job. an appropriate response. I don't think he's a predator. If you dont want to watch his stuff anymore or support him, don't. That's valid. I don't even know why I watch these things since I don't watch any of his stuff or wear makeup. I just like knowing this drama lol.

he's obviously not telling the full truth or else like you said, why apologize
