It comes off as if they literally made it illegal for trans people to access health services if they get ill. What did they actually ban ? Gender re-assignment / transitioning services to trans people under the age of 18 ? Edit: This means: "Arkansas banned gender affirming care to transgender people under the age of 18." But regardless of their motives for doing this i question how early ppl should go thru these procedures anyway. Well we also give birth control to teen girls which can seriously mess up their hormones and can effect fertility later in life. Puberty blockers overall are a positive thing for a vulnerable population even though it may have drawbacks/side effects, and that is also the case with a large portion of modern medicine anyway. Not from the research I’ve seen i’ve looked a lot into hormonal issues in women because I have some myself and there are many women who struggle with fertility after long term birth control use, not to mention various birth controls have many side effects including increased cancer risk (to clarify I just looked the information up again and it is not necessarily that BC causes infertility but that is it prescribed to fix hormone imbalances instead of the root cause of said imbalance being investigated, thus resulting in infertility even when the person goes off BC because their actual hormonal problems were never taken care of) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
