If young women that are pregnant or recently pregnant are the only group show9ng a disproportionate reaction for this why not just take it out of innoculations for that group instead of everyone under 55?

Like from my understanding males in general as well as women that havent recently been pregnant are not at higher risk of this side effect than blood clots that happen in the general population for other reasons without vaccines

Very sad to see Canada doing the same as what the EU did which will cost who knows how many lives. Hopefully they'll see the data and allow them to continue again at least excluding those pregnant.

Seems to be more of a tactic due to insufficient supplies to allow them to build up a stockholding.

My country suspended the Astra Zeneca vaccine the day after I received my first dose of it,  it had me in sheer panic :saladga:

This is stupid.

The clots are rare, so rare in fact that if this was a standard vaccine rollout they wouldn't even notice.

It's simply because so many people are having it at once.

Female contraception causes more issues than this.

Its not exactly the same as the EU and it shouldnt cost lives here

The doses arent going to be suspended entirely just for those under 55 and its not the whole Country that is doing this

In Canada the Provinces are the ones that decide which groups get the vaccines and when

It's disappointing to see Canada do this as well. My family back in the UK had the vaccines and they're all doing well, cases rates and deaths are plummeting there.

The blood clot risk is still insanely low, less than flying or taking a contraceptive pill.

It's not good that antivaxxers are going to be all over this for no proven reason! :saladga:

I'm happy to have the vaccine if people are too paranoid to have it :huntyga:
