Google tells me in my state it is somewhere between $50k-$60k but IDK how accurate that is.

Nurses in the US get paid above average for most people and usually have great benefits. My friend started making $60K straight out of school. 

That being said, they do deserve some sort of compensation for this past year.

It all depends on if you’re working in patient or outpatient. Working in the hospital, you get paid more. I live in Oregon, which is also one of the highest paying states. I made like 70k last year before taxes.
 

We definitely get paid well, but we’ve worked the whole pandemic, being exposed, changing our practices, taking care of really really sick patients and watching them die. Nursing is so different post covid, truly

Nurses deserve to get paid more than 60k for sure. We need more people going into the medical field and higher salaries + free public universities is the way to start.
