I was actually expecting like minimum wage Nurses in the US get paid above average for most people and usually have great benefits. My friend started making $60K straight out of school. It all depends on if you’re working in patient or outpatient. Working in the hospital, you get paid more. I live in Oregon, which is also one of the highest paying states. I made like 70k last year before taxes. We definitely get paid well, but we’ve worked the whole pandemic, being exposed, changing our practices, taking care of really really sick patients and watching them die.
