May I all remind you of something:

“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the ****ing deli without hearing or seeing me.â€

― Lady Gaga

Everyone told her she would never write a hit record, well she did, she has written multiple. So what makes you think she can't write something better than Bad Romance? Artist never top themselves straight after a iconic hit, but they certainly do eventually. Bad Romance came out in 2009, it's been a while.

Hope you're both right :excited2:

Well of course she's gonna say that. She's not gonna say " no, i can never write a song as good as bad romance :derpga: " but I think that she can write as good of a song as bad romance if she wants to

to tell the truth, my obsession with Bad Romance has vanished somehow. It's a cool song, and one of my favorites, but I wouldn't call it the best song she's done. The Edge of Glory appeals to me more.

Bad Romance combines catchy tune and extreme commercial success. It was selling like crazy, and Gaga was everywhere with this song, people went crazy when it started being played in the clubs and so on. It was at the time of when she became super huge. Maybe the mass-appeal of the song to general public also adds to why people are so crazy about it.

The Edge of Glory, however, demonstrates her songwriting skills at a much deeper lyrical level, and is not that production-heavy, showing that she, if needed, can make a good song relying on a nice melody and beautiful lyrics. And it was a hit on radio, too, I still hear it sometimes.

But...choosing between them is like choosing between food and drink. Insane

I can't listen through all of Bad Romance anymore. Her best video for sure, but song? :pukey: If it isn't live or watching the video then I can't do it.

Same, though I think it has to do with BR being my alarm song to wake up..

Doesn't she always think her new work is better than her old work, though? I mean, her best album is #TheNextOne

Bad Romance was the perfect storm. Nothing could have happened more perfectly (let's just pretend Tik Tok doesn't exist right now for charts sake). I think Gaga is building another storm. She's prepping the release of this album/debut single to be another hurricane in the music industry. She's really trying to push herself as an artist and innovator. Just from the little information we have, I have no doubts that this new era of her music will be huge.

Many researchers will tell you that one of Gaga's biggest strengths is her marketing strategies and how she develops new ways to push the pop music scene. ARTPOP will be no different. In fact, I believe it will showcase her true marketing potential. I think a taste of what is to come was the FAME marketing that we've seen. And look how well that went over; biggest perfume launch in history. Guys, we have something big happening here with this new album.

Oh lord......this post made me more excited for ARTPOP than ever.... :stabbed:

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Bad Romance is one of the best pop songs ever! Anyone born in the 80's knows it.

I'm all for synths and glam pop. This generic stuff like the singles from BTW, hopefully that's out of her system and we go back to TFM.
