From Twitter Japan, it looks like the tsunami is said to be 1M (3.2feet) high.

Imagine being hit by 1 metre tall waves with huge force/high velocity/pressure.

This week I learnt that tsunamis are not the hundreds of feet high waves I always thought they were wtf thanks Hollywood I hope they're ok

I hope the damage isn't too much. Sending my prayers to Japan. The country has dealt with so much catastrophe due to the last earthquake, I really hope their recovery wasn't for nothing.

Well it could get a hundred feet, just really REALLY rare.

Those exist too. 2011 Tsunami was estimated to be 38 metres high, or about 12 floors building high.

I don’t think volcanos and earthquakes have something to do with climate change, unless the tectonic plates are in a way linked to climate and I’m just not aware of it?
