You have to remember her voice is her instrument, she’s used to training and adapting her vocals. Of course this is a different skill, but the fact that she’s so versatile as a singer and is used to working with her voice is a real strength here. Also, they’ll have workshopped this to death at auditions, table reads and rehearsal - if it was really bad they would have scrapped it or hired other actors. But I know they won’t. And Gaga is the least of my worries because she’s always changing her accent when she tours but what if 90 % of the others S U C K ? I mean it’s not up to only her to carry this movie. I was kind of relieved when TADR posted they wouldn’t use accents because I was worried it would be distracting but I’m sure whatever works. Aphasic 4,033 Posted March 18, 2021 Share Posted March 18, 2021 I think people forget that (most real god given talented) musicians have insanely great hearing and I'm sure Gaga will kill (not literally like Patrizia) her role and the accent. She's most likely looked at videos, interviews, etc, of Patrizia speaking and with the help of a coach accent she'll do not just fine but great.
