Better Day 5,766
“Loyalist paramilitary groups have told the British and Irish governments they are withdrawing support for the Good Friday agreement in protest at Northern Ireland’s Irish Sea trade border with the rest of the UK. The Loyalist Communities Council, an umbrella group that represents the views of the UVF, UDA and Red Hand Commando, wrote a letter to Boris Johnson and Ireland’s taoiseach, Micheál Martin, warning of “permanent destruction” of the 1998 peace agreement without changes to post-Brexit arrangements for Northern Ireland.” Source: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/mar/04/brexit-northern-ireland-loyalist-armies-renounce-good-friday-agreement Together You And I! xoxo Craig 55,649
At the last election, there was an increase in support for parties that want to break away from the UK union and that are for a reunited Ireland... I hope Ireland gets to a point where it can reunify. It would be the only way to protect peace End Racism Now

MOT 3,605
It's a tough one to say the least. Basically the Good Friday agreement and Brexit are incompatible, unless either the North leaves the UK or we here in the South leave the EU. Neither is likely. The Good Friday agreement was Bill Clinton's baby ultimately. Come in, Joe.

A united Ireland, bankrolled by the US, is one possible conclusion to this. If Scotland breaks away, what would the loyalists be hanging on to ? England, who clearly don't care about them ? And the loyalists historically wanted nothing to do with Catholic Ireland, but there's no such place any more.
