RahrahWitch 6,985
Youtube really needs a serious competitor. I'd hate to be a youtuber, It seems like such an unstable income unless you've got a huge audience.
Monster Voices 1,024
It makes all the sense for countries with a tax agreement. As a Bulgarian working with a US company we tax them here and then they provide proof to the US and don't get double taxation. For countries without this agreement it's quite harmful for the creator. But I would think most countries have that. Forever and Always!

For every 10 minutes of content, about 20 hours of work was behind it. My most recent video was over 35 minutes. Between research, script writing, audio/vocal producing & editing, and video/footage editing, I spent somewhere around 80 hours making the video from start to finish. That was split between 3-4 weeks. Sometimes a video does well, and the time feels worth it. Sometimes it doesn’t do well, and I make nothing from it. At the end of the day, it’s definitely not about the money. But I entertain thousands of people and they enjoy my videos. Plus it’s nice to have some sort of income during this pandemic. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

I’m sorry I completely understand where your viewpoint comes from. There are definitely YouTubers out there who make bank from putting little-to-no effort into their content. But at the same time they usually bring in a different type of audience from let’s say.. someone who makes educational videos, tells scary stories, or shows you how to build a house from scratch. It’s a diverse platform full of anything you can think of. Not just reaction videos and influencer drama 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
