In the first listening I didn't connected with almost anything and I always connect with her projects, love them all. I don't know if it's only me but it didn't surprised me lyrically. It will need more listens for sure.

the scars on my mind are on replay.

It's just so Pretty:wub:

I need time for it to fully sink in, but I am already in love. The worst songs to me are Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Tulsa Jesus Freak and Let Me Love You Like A Woman. All of the others, I instantly love without any pause. I am looking forward to Spring weather with this new album, it seems fitting. Congrats to Lana.:sara:

:lana:I must say that I am happy that I held off for release time:flutter:. It feels like an intimate gift of soft light.

The Pitchfork review is so convoluted that it makes absolutely no sense. Are they reviewing her as a person?

It's giving me Gaga circa ARTPOP vibes where half the reviews seemed to be judging her on her public persona rather than her music to the point that even a few big music critics called out other critics for not being objective towards Gaga.

My ranking:

1. Dark But Just A Game

2. White Dress

3. Yosemite

4. Not All Who Wonder Are Lost

5. Wild At Heart

6. Dance Till We Die

7.  For Free

8. Chemtrails Over The Country Club

9. Breaking Up Slowly

10. Let Me Love You Like A Woman

11. Tulsa Jesus Freak

I agree with this list except for Breaking up Slowly....that's one of my fav tracks.

I love the album, but interestingly enough I feel like it's not super...cohesive?  Which is strange, since the one complaint I've heard is it all sounds too similar. I love the track Chemtrails, but it feels like it belongs to a different album.

She’s really been feeling her Lizzy Grant lately and you can feel and hear that in this album. I love it. Its so authentic

I usually enjoy their reviews, I can get on board with most of what they have said in the past.

This is just difficult to read and follow.

Just finished listening to it. I am really impressed tbh. I didn't expect myself to like it as much as I did. I still don't have favorites and I need to listen a few more times for sure but it's a strong album for sure. I loved UV and NFR more on first listen so I'm not sure where COCC stands just yet.

On first listen, my favs are White Dress, Tusla Jesus Freak, Dark But Just A Game, and Dance Till We Die.

The singles also work better within the album than standalone songs.

I think this album finally pushed me to relisten to Lana's discography, maybe I will appreciate it more?? Because I only like UV and NFR (and now COCC) from her, the rest are so meh to me

Soft, soothing, and succulent

I lowkey think NFR is one of her worst albums. I don’t understand why it’s so highly regarded. Now Honeymoon that’s my ****

I didn't expect to see this exhibition of taste today

I was really worried about the word "folk" being used to desrcibe the album. After listening, turns out I was right to worry. This is so not something I see myself listening to. I'm very sad.
