The album is alright... it’s quite acoustic, which I can handle alright (big fan of Joni, who I’m so glad she covered) but there’s not a lot of liveliness to cut through the mellow. At least Norman ****ing Rockwell has some bigger moments, whereas this album just sizzles. Not really my cup of tea.

I feel like the liveliest moment of the record was wild at heart. All the other songs have the same vibe with me sonically. Although I do enjoy them enough to want to revisit this album after I listen to all the new music today.

I’m sure it’ll grow on me too... Lana always does.

"Chemtrails Over the Country Club" is yet another piece that will prove anyone right, like myself, argues that Lana Del Rey is undoubtedly one of the best songwriters in the history of modern music. Together with the now inseparable Jack Antonoff, Lana has created yet another masterpiece. This record, starting from the opening track, the ethereal "White Dress", flows through the cracks of today's music as a healing medicine against the poor quality and elegance of music that is fashionable today.

Yeah that autotune ruined it for me and the white hot forever part annoys me :saladga:

I love her to pieces but can she do a few upbeat tracks one day. That being said I still bought it.

The album is AMAZING. A literal masterpiece, every song is amazing. Her voice and songwriting talent really shines on this album. So many songs like White Dress are growers. I'm so proud of her :bradley:

I’m just not feeling it. Don’t get me wrong I love to see an artist evolve and change, but the shift in sound post L4L has just not been it for me. I’ve only liked three or four songs from her last two albums and it’s a shame to me because I literally love every single song on every single album until L4L (yes I know it’s a messy ass album but some of my favorite songs are also on it)

I just hope she shifts back to something a bit more upbeat next time. Or something more elevated and not so stripped back. I miss the regality of her music.

I get how post L4L is very different. But for me, post L4L is more mature, has more depth.

It's so beautiful, holy sh*it

I love White Dress, Yosemite, Not All Who Wonder Are Lost, Wild at Heart, and the title track! I'm still kinda new to Lana after NFR & Ultraviolence but I'm loving this country-twang acoustic vibe. It sounds so lovely with her voice, the instrumentation (guitars!! the steel guitars omg) I'm living for!

I can't wait to listen with really good headphones.
