Lion Heart

From my understanding the chocolate cake was for the workers who had to stay behind because Sen Johnson forced Senate staffers to read the bill in its entirety. And they read it all night, something like that.

She still sucks tho.

Imagine having an incoherent meltdown over centrist Dem’s reputation and not the fact workers won’t get a raise wage...

You're going to sit there and tell me that Bernie actually thought he had a chance in hell to get all sixty votes necessary to overrule the senate parliamentarian.  :ladyhaha:

This was about reactive tweets and far left media fodder.

If anything 8 Democrats made it harder for Republicans to do the same. Get a grip. The only people having meltdowns are the far left faction. "Oh we will lose the senate in 2022, Biden isn't keeping any of his promises." After everything he did in his first week. Girl whatever. :billie:

No, thats Joe Biden trynna delay this to a separate bill while the left know it’s easier to get 51 votes than 60, since the filibuster has no chance of vanishing.

Not you acting bold when you’re literally clueless as to what’s going on, other than “far left loud” :laughga:

No one even remembers the first week of his admin anymore besides the Bernie Sanders chair meme, even tho there were some good EOs there. Direct checks and the minimum wage are corner stone promises everyone is focused on, and he’s allowed 17m less people to qualify for them and has let the wage die. Your cluelessness really shows.

A Senate parlamentarian has no power and is UNELECTED. All they offer is ADVISE, which the Presiding Officer of the Senate can choose to listen to or ignore and overrule. That person would be VP Harris, and previous VPs in the past have done this so it's more than possible.

She has the power to overrule on her own, after which someone can object to that, but then they would need 60 votes to overrule Harris overruling the parlamentarian, due to the filibuster.

In other words, the exact opposite of what you're saying would be needed since those AGAINST a living wage would need the 60 votes at that point.

But this would require Harris to actually have a spine and some balls and put her money where her mouth is by fighting for what she supposedly stands for, which we all know how that works out with corporate Democrats :billie:

You're clueless hun. In order to overrule you need 60 votes. Pushing it through with 50 +1 would give power to the Republicans to do the same. Please tell me you think Bernie was sure ten Republicans would overrule with the weak attempt at media coverage.

I'd say trans people remember the first week and I can't wait to get out of work to fully reply to this jiberish you just wrote.

This!

Have some compassion and think of all the families struggling to feed their babies in this world leader country named USA.

Nope, you don't. Previous VPs used this power a lot and overruled since the parlamentarian has no power to force their ruling to be listened. Look it up.

Also, Republicans already have pushed through things that way so try again.

You'll really do anything for your precious establishment Dems huh.

Including selling out the American people over process and be okay with that :mark:

If your only goal is to promote how compassionate you are, they did that, and in happy for that. I’m not taking that away. But like politics is also a race, and if you’re only gonna appeal to a minority group, you’re gonna tank. A party needs to have a bigger tent than just the LGBT community
