The interest is still compounding and those deferments will come to an en, making your student loan debt larger than it even is currently.  I don't make $80k individually, and I'd argue that that is a nice salary, but I just have mixed feelings on it.

The U.S. government has suspended all federal student loan payments and halted all interest charges, through the end of September 2021. At the same time, all collections and garnishments on federal student loans in default have stopped as well.

About the bombing, there's no excuse, as there's no excuse for the US to constantly export war for the past decades. They just can't keep it to themselves as long as there's some money to be made anywhere else. And you're right, these wounds are self-inflicted by conservative democrats, but you're just validating my point. Biden doesn't have much power when even his own party doesn't support the changes people are expecting him to make. There's a reason this post is about a deal, and not about a single person's decision. He's negotiating with both sides, trying to meet them halfway. For many people this is not enough, for some it is too much, but you shouldn't put the whole blame in his name, just like you shouldn't put it on Trump alone.

Sure, most Americans are tired of the idea of corruption but the most privileged aren't willing to let go of the advantages it brings them in order to bring the less privileged to their level. That's why they elected the most corrupt guy they could find on TV that they knew would keep the less privileged in their place outside the perfect American white picket fenced bubble. And that's why there's so much opposition to Biden (or anyone that would be in his position) changing things, even within his own party.

Im not putting all the blame on him on this issue, I really want Manchin and Synema out of power ASAP, but Moderate Republicans often vote along party lines after speaking out against certain things their party does. I just want Manchin and Sinema’s buff called. What’s even worse is that Biden went to talk to Manchin and apparently they didn’t even bring up the minimum wage. The only way to pass the wage is thru this bill. It’s not getting 60 votes and the filibuster dying seems like a long shot.

He’s writing those in the Georgian suburbs who pushed him over the edge to win the senate, out of the eligibility. It’s not bizzare when you think about the congress races. Cutting 12M adults out the range is gonna increase the chances of a red wave in 2022... the last thing needed. Its 1.9T, its really not that noticeable of a cut either. Also, they’re well in their range to get the money since they paid for their taxes, unlike the Fortune 500. 100k is well off, but not rich...

The bill is not certain to fail. A lot of politicians talk, but never walk. Manchin and Sinema are more obsessed about cosplaying as independents to an audience that doesn’t exist. I’d be surprised if they actually have the guts to tank the whole party’s first term. If they do block it, running ads against them based on that is effective - not ads about how bigoted they are bc they didn’t vote for Neera Tanden.

First of all, Dems have only been in majority for a month, and this is there first package. I'm sure that by the end of the year they'll have put more towards people in need than Trump, that's for sure.

“lazy Dems”....as they try to pass a 1.9T dollar package....meanwhile every Republican Senator is going to vote against this package and is forcing the entire bill to be read out loud taking up at least 10 hours...delaying the time this person will get their so needed relief check..part of me thinks do people actually care about relief or do they just love to bitch online?
