Alllllll of this. I’ve been arguing with my friend all week about Scott Dissick dating Lisa Rinna’s 19 year old daughter. His stance is that since she’s not under 18 it’s perfectly fine. And that age is different out there and she has more “life experience” than we did at that age. I’m like…just because she crossed some imaginary year threshold doesn’t mean she’s instantly mature enough to not be manipulated. He’s 37. He’s been an adult almost as long as she’s even been alive. He has decades of life experience over her. Wtf could he POSSIBLY want from a 19 year old? It’s not illegal in court, but it’s still questionable af and at least makes me wonder how many other teens he’s been involved with.

I think framing it as "oh but it's only 5 years apart" is dangerous when not considering the different stages in life the two are, their mental and emotional capacities, and experiences. Someone who is 22 is in a very different stage of life compared to someone who is 16, same as someone who is 24 and the other is 19.

Yeah I also do not agree that 19 year olds should get married that young but it happens and that’s their call. I can’t see myself doing that at that age but a lot of people feel mature to do it, even a couple of my friends got pregnant at that age and they do not regret it. 

It’s just a never ending topic. Billie felt mature to date him but didn’t work out so they broke up.

I literally cannot fathom how people in this forum are excusing the relationship between Billie (then 16) and her Ex (then 22) as "not child grooming/pedophilia" but somehow at the same time the situation between James Charles (21) and the TikTok Guy (16) somehow "is child grooming/pedophilia"???? Not sure about how it is in the USA, but in some countries from age 16 you can have sex (and obviously date) with any adult you want to. 

So calling gim a pedo for dating her is not exactly true.
