U.S. surpasses 500,000 coronavirus deaths.

More people have died from COVID-19 in the U.S. than any other country in the world.
With 4% of the world's population, the U.S. has seen 20% of all COVID deaths and one of the highest rates of deaths per 100,000 residents.

No health crisis has devastated the U.S. like COVID-19 since the 1918 Spanish influenza, triggering the biggest decline in US life expectancy since World War Two and ranking among the biggest killers in US history:

So sad regardless. But the comparisons have to be per capita, not total numbers. The US is one of the largest countries in the world population wise. It does not have the highest death rate. This whole virus just showed how much western countries are not prepared for pandemics.

Congrats! :vegas: How much have death rates fallen since Biden took over?

I think you mistook the 500k deaths with 500k vaccinations.
